Archive-to-Agent-Tools
Package an expert’s content archive into one job-specific tool agents (and their audience) can use — “archive to API.”
Definition
Creators, consultants, and analysts sit on years of videos, podcasts, and newsletters monetized only by ads and sponsorships. This idea transcribes and structurally tags that archive (by job, framework, objection, outcome — not just a vector-DB dump) and ships one narrow workflow: “paste your cold email, get a critique in this expert’s system, with citations, a rewrite, a score, and one test to run.”
Key Properties
- One archive, one painful job, one workflow — “chat with an expert” is too broad; outcome-based beats open-ended.
- The creator supplies distribution and trust; the builder supplies the product.
- Monetization: $19–50/mo subscriptions, community bundles, lead magnet for consulting, agency licensing — eventually per-request agent payments via x402 / Pay-per-Crawl.
- Lazy tagging is the noted failure mode: vector-dump gives “a search box with confidence,” not a product.
- Managed AI Search can now supply crawling, hybrid retrieval, citations, and public or Access-protected MCP endpoints; these lower infrastructure cost but do not replace workflow design (Cloudflare AI Search: give your agents a search engine for your data).
Examples
- Sales trainer’s 300 videos → cold-email critique tool; startup podcast’s 500 episodes → idea-feedback tool; designer’s teardowns → landing-page critique tool. Source cites ideabrowser.com’s MCP as his own practice of this.
Application to the business
Lower priority for Port Huron day one (requires a creator partner), but the underlying skill — transcribing, tagging, and structuring a knowledge corpus into an agent tool — is exactly this wiki’s own workflow, and could later be offered to regional experts (trades trainers, local consultants).
